I can rememb...I have not had a persimmon in years. I can remember as a young girl picking them up off the ground from a tree on the side of the road near our house. The only winter signs I have seen around here are the wolly worms...They seem to be one color and that is dark brown. Old timers used to the Wolly Worm would foretell how server the Winter was going to be. Just not sure what color indicated what.
