We have peeps just about your peeps age, along with 2 older hens, (3 yrs old) and an old rooster as well. We have housed the peeps inside since their arrival in mid June. I would like to let them out to roam with the others, however, reluctant to do so as I'm not sure the older ones would take to the newer ones. Not sure, if I'd be able to catch the new ones in the event all don't see eye-to-eye.
We have a cat that looks so close to yours found last winter. Ours is a male (he's since been altered). Tiny, is what we named him, he was skinny, however, very affectionate, so we packed him in the car with us and brought him home. Just last month he got aweful sick, I rushed him to a vet and found he has what is called hemobartonella (from fleas)that he had prior to us rescuing him. He was on antibiotics for 3 weeks and is doing swell now. As a matter of fact, we have given him the nick-name of Dennis the Menace. He has such character!Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09182682229829890445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3437060109079443112.post-81338444018112464872008-07-15T09:12:00.000-05:002008-07-15T09:12:00.000-05:00Oh, Miss Rosemary! That's one cat I won't be allerg...Oh, Miss Rosemary!
That's one cat I won't be allergic too! I love it!
Congratulations on the green lawn, but I'm "feeling your pain" about the mowing alot. Even though we've not had a lot of rain and our grass is rather "crispy", we're still having to mow every 3-4 days.
What's that about?????
Blessings,
JulieJuliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13219697351256084803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3437060109079443112.post-38379246535233451762008-07-15T02:00:00.000-05:002008-07-15T02:00:00.000-05:00It is very hot here on the coast of Texas. It has showered just a little pretty often but nothing is growing it is so dry. I hope that doesn't mean we will have a hurricane this year.

The kitty is very special. I havent' owned a cat in over 20 yrs. Dh does not like'em.
I think VBS has changed since I wnet to them. Used to be only koolaid and cookies, now its almost a meal. And it has gotten to be a big business. But it's fun to watch the younguns, they have such fun.
Blessings
Patty H.Patty H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04522354325848586369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3437060109079443112.post-68362744986472195232008-07-10T06:44:00.000-05:002008-07-10T06:44:00.000-05:00What a cute story about your chicks and Adam :-} W...What a cute story about your chicks and Adam :-} Wonderful photo! My grandma had tons of chickens, ducks, and even a pair of geese! I was scared of the geese cause they were so bossy and would always chase me!
I miss having a cat (always had two or three underfoot)--my two elderly cats passed away last Fall. My grands and SIL are very allergic to them, so I must be content with my Buckeroo (and I am thankful for him) for now.
I have heard about your rainy summer--I would love a bit of your humidity and heat (I miss hot summers, I know that sounds crazy!)
Ours has been cool and a bit rainy with a few warm days thrown in.
Missed you! Glad to see all is well!
Blessings to you!
