That today is National Thrift Shop Day? I wish I could celebrate by going thrift shopping! Maybe later this week.
Since I can't go today, I thought I'd share a few pictures of some recent purchases.
This old green bowl (I love the color!) Was $5. I keep it on top of my Hoosier cabinet. It makes a great storage container for my fabric napkins.
This old metal coffee pot is rusty and doesn't have a lid. I thought it would make a great container for a fall bouquet! I paid $2.50 for it.
I hope all of you have been doing well. I haven't posted in over a week. I think this has been one of my busiest summers ever!
Wow, I never knew there was a national thrift shop day, lol, and I love thrifting:) you got some great stuff, those are the type of things I normally buy too:)
ReplyDeleteI have an old coffee pot much like yours, same era. I keep some antique silverware in it on top of the cupboard.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love all your great deals. I have many of the same items. You got some really great deals. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that today is national thrift shop day... and I didn't even go!!! I like your recent thrift finds... I would have bought everyone of those things, too.
ReplyDeleteI love your items! I didn't know it was national thrift day, but guess what, I went to a thrift store today. I got some old linens, 2 small yard flags, three stainless steel bowls with lids, a box of old buttons, a Fire King jadeite saucer to go with the cup I already had, an old looking small bowl with a flag etched into it to put in my bedroom to hold a fat candle and a pair of shorts! And I only paid 3.25 for all of that. Don't you just love thrift stores. People who don't go to them, just don't know what they are missing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good reason to go thrifting, to support this day! Fun finds!
ReplyDeleteThat's good to know. :) There's a junk store down the road and I've never stopped so maybe I should do that today! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteVery nice treasures!
ReplyDeleteNow you have to love the thrift store! I was going to go today but may have to wait until tommorow, I got carried away around here changing things around.
ReplyDeleteI have a white coffee pot like yours, I have flowers in it, from the thrift of course. I'll put a picture of it on my site in a few days.
So nice to hear from you.
