Hot Summer Days

It has been so hot here lately. The rain has stopped and the humidity is starting to go down a little. We were up in the 'big city' on Monday and the heat (always bad with all that asphalt and concrete) was tolerable since there was a nice breeze.

I did get in a little bit of thrift shopping which I will show you later in the week. It is always nice to head up to the city for the day, but it seems to wear us out. We were ' tired out' by the time we got home!

Hope you are all having a good week. I have some projects around here that I need to work on. Some involve paint, some sewing, some cleaning and organizing.

Have a great day!

  1. RM,
Now you know I will be waiting to see what you got at the thrift!
Cloudy here today but in the upper 70's. We went down town to the Bisons baseball game last night, they had fire works after the game so that was a nice evening. Grand kids will be in and out all day today, then this evening we have to go to a soccer game for the oldest grand daughter. Always something! Guess thats a good thing.

I am looking forward to seeing what you picked up, thrifting!

  4. It's warming up here too, we got teased with some early fall weather the last few days, but summer is back! Always fun to get away for the day but nicer to come back home!

  5. Hope your heat and humidity break soon. Here, it's hot today. But it's usual for us to have a few days stretchs of this. And actually, we've not had as much, this year... as usual.
