Christmas Crafts

I really haven't been able to get myself in the mood to make any Christmas crafts this season, yet, but my dh's aunt gave us a recipe that sounds easy, fast, and interesting.

Recipe:

Mix cinnamon and applesauce together to make a nice, workable dough. Roll out, cut out with cookie cutters (make a hole in the top to run string through) and let dry.

I haven't rolled mine out, yet, as you can see in the above picture, but mixing it together sure made the house smell good. I had an old container of nutmeg that I added to the mix .

If you try this, it takes a lot of cinnamon! So, you might want to start with only a cup or less of applesauce.

Have a great day.

  1. I just might try that, it must take a whole lot of cinnamon to make a dough with applesauce. No flour?
Glad to see you posting, wondered how you were doing. Wiating on a big snow storm over the next few days, just might be snowed in.

  2. That sounds like something I could do. I don't do crafts only because I am not good at it. I can just smell the cinnamon in your warm home.

  5. I've done these before and loved them. We used to do a new batch every year to have that wonderful smell. :-)

    MERRY CHRISTMAS Rosemary!

I have some major issue with Blogger, but I'm able to FINALLY sign in (& post) once again!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
