Sunday Afternoon

It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon here at the house. We will probably see 80 degrees by sometime later today. Almost a little too warm. I love temperatures in the 70s, but we are known for going straight from winter to summer around here, so we don't always get those lovely mild temps for very long.

Our church service was short this morning~only Sunday School and then singing. Our pastor's sweet wife fell and broke her hip late yesterday and is having surgery today. All of you please keep her in your prayers. Her name is Jeanie.

A blessed Sunday to you all,

R~Mary

  1. Mary, your dogwoods are so beautiful! I miss the mountains so much! Florida seems so flat after living in the farm country of Virginia! So glad I found your blog. I've enjoyed reading your past posts! LOVE your home, too!

  3. I'll be praying for your dear pastor's wife. Poor dear.

Your photo of the dogwood is so pretty. This year, our dogwoods bloomed on my birthday morning. It was the most wonderful gift!

    Blessings & joy,

  4. I am sorry to hear about your pastor's wife, Rose-Mary.

Our dogwoods are just beginning to bloom. They were in that beautiful early stage lime green, over the weekend. We saw a few fully bloomed.

I was just wondering the other day, if we'll go from winter to summer in a hurry, this year! We haven't had very many really warm days. I like 70's too.

  5. Are those dogwoods in the picture?
    They are beautiful!

I hear you about that winter to summer progression! Yucky!!!! It got in the mid 80's, here, yesterday and was pretty hot. Still better than those 100 (and up) degrees we have coming!

I hope that your pastor's wife is doing well. That just sounds too painful. Bless her heart!

    Blessings,
    Julie
