Christmas Week

Good morning! I hope that all of you had a wonderful weekend. We had a very cold weekend, but it was nice and sunny. The only way to enjoy the sun, though, was from inside looking out!

We had a very enjoyable Christmas program at church yesterday. A lot of singing, reading scriptures, and reading Christmas poems. One young man read the legend of the candy cane, and handed out candy canes to the congregation.

I especially loved the scripture reading and singing. We sang several Christmas songs that I'd never heard before. I love Christmas music. I listen to it throughout the year at different intervals. Do any of you?

This week is going to consist of a lot of cooking and cleaning~and I'm ready to get started!

  1. Good morning! It's sunny here today and it's a good things since it was 15° when I got up. We went to Walgreens and WalMart early and now I'm in for the day. I'm going to wrap some presents and then sew the rest of the day and try to stay warm. blessings, marlene

  3. Up here in northeastern Washington State we have about 3' of snow and it is 7 degrees. Have 2 batches of fudge to make and then just clean up the house and wait for Wednesday. That is the day we gather as a family. No big dinner, just finger foods, board games and presents and fun.

  5. It was cold here this morning, also. Around 12 I believe. I need to clean, too. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

  6. We're preparing for our family's visit on Christmas morning. They'll be here for Brunch around 10AM, before visiting all around this county and the next and next!

I came by to wish you a very Merry Christmas, Rose Mary!

  9. I love the sound of your Christmas service. Those are some special times of worship.

I LOVE Christmas music, too. I've listened to it almost non-stop since the week before Thanksgiving. I think it helps to ease the stress that shouldn't, but usually does, accompany the season.

I hope you and your family have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
