Winter Fun

What are you doing to keep yourself entertained while stuck indoors? We've had a lot of really cold days, but also some nice, mild days with lots of sunshine. We've a possibility of freezing rain tonight, but then in the 50s tomorrow.

A lot of my entertainment on snowy days is watching our animals. Domino, above, does not really care for the snow. He, along with the other goats, is definitely looking forward to warmer weather! I have several bird feeders on my porch, so sitting at the dining room table with a nice cup of tea is an enjoyable way to watch the activity outside.

I'm also learning to crochet. I'm only a beginner, so I have a long way to go. I've been practicing different stitches and am about ready to start on my first project--when I decide what it will be:).

Everyone stay warm and have a wonderful day!

  1. It has been sooo cold here too. I have been busy just doing some touch up work in the house...since we are selling. The sunshine has been beautiful but the temps are way to chilly. Freezing rain or snow tomorrow for us...still do not have my bird feeders up...I have missed feeding the birds this season.. Blessings and stay warm... and keep those animals warm too.

  2. Oh my it looks so cold there. We have boer goat babies (ok I know they are really called kids, LOL) put up in the barn because it is so cold.

  3. I got a Kindle FIre for Christmas, and now hooked on Words with Friends!

  4. It is so cold here too. Snow and freezing rain tomorrow. Hate the rain part. Its my quilting day and about a 45 minute drive so will leave a little earlyy. I just have been puttering around the house and working on my first quilt. Its getting there. This one gets crotcheted around. That will be interesting. I have not crotcheted with thread like that for years. Love your goat picture. I just have Raspberry. She looks like a wooly bear.

  5. Such a cute goat! It's been cold here, too, and we had snow yesterday. One of my favorite past times in the winter is watching our birds from the dining room window, too! They are such characters.

  6. Oh, I wish we could learn to crochet together! I have wanted to learn for so long... there are lots of good videos on Youtube but I haven't taken the time to watch and "practice"... *sigh*..
Poor Domino~ he looks like he's thinking the same thing I am about the cold weather! *haha*
