Dog Days of Summer

I believe the proverbial 'dog days of summer' have finally set in. It has been so hot and humid lately that it makes going outside for any length of time very uncomfortable.

We are still in the process of cleaning out our storage building in order to make a shop for my husband. It is amazing how much 'stuff' you can collect! We have hauled off box after box of unwanted items: old shoes, magazines, old clothes that no one will ever wear again. I am a loyal Goodwill shopper, but I hope not to see any of this 'stuff' there!

Hope you are all keeping cool! I took the picture of the sweet dog fountain at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO a month or so ago. I thought it was an appropriate picture for this hot 'dog day'!

  1. Funny you should mention "dog days"...I was just at another blog that gave a heads up for a "summer dog days give away" for us all to participate in...check it out here

  4. Wouldn't you love to bring that dog fountain home? It is so cute. We just had a big yard sale a few weeks ago, and cleaned out a lot of stuff, but when I look around I still see so much junk that needs to go!

  5. Sorry you are living with the 'dog days of Summer.' I feel so lucky, that we've only had a very few of them, and they didn't last long. Of course, there is more Summer to come. But, so far so good. :-)

  7. I love this dog foundation. I would have scooped it up in a minute. With the cross next to it, really makes it special.

  8. Oh how I love this fountain!! It is wonderful!

It was so muggy this week...awful! But the rains came and the wind. It is really nice out now. I know it will be hot again in a day or two but I will enjoy while I can!

    Hugs,
    Sue

  9. I do love your dog fountain and the cross.

Summer is such a busy and joyful time. It will be August soon and then we will be wondering where the summer went.

    Take care,
    LOve, Terri
