Good Morning!

We are having some really beautiful weather here today. It is going to be in the 70s by mid-afternoon! We are supposed to have thunderstorms tonight, and I'm hoping they won't be too severe. That is always the price we have to pay for warm weather during the day, this time of year.
We did a lot of work outside last week and I ended up pulling some muscles in my back, so I'm still recovering from that. I always try to do too much at once, so it is my own fault.

We did get the run for the chickens finished, so that little job is taken care of. We finished it just in time for the snowstorm to blow in. We got 8 1/2 inches of very wet snow, and lost several tree tops due to it. We also lost electricity for eighteen hours~not much fun after the first three or four hours!

I am working on some projects for my kitchen and hope to be able to show some of my work in a week or so. My bad back has put my painting at a standstill, but I hope to get back to it soon.

Hope you are all having a great day.

R~Mary

  1. Bless your heart, Rose Mary- I know how hard it is to get anything done with your back out... hope you're back on your feet soon. I would love to see your chicken run- maybe you could post some pictures! Hope you have a good day!

  2. Hi Rose Mary...We've been having pretty weather up here, too, this week. We've had a bit of rain, but no wind.

We've been spring cleaning. Yesterday, we finished the kitchen/breakfast room area. We're feeling it today, so decided to take a day off. I'm using my time off, to visit my blogs.

I'm looking forward to seeing your kitchen!

  3. Take it easy on yourself, Rose Mary. I know you want to get the kitchen done, but the projects will still be there-- and there's only one of you. (PS- Heating pads are great when you've overdone the DIY!) Take care. --Jenn

  4. RM,
How is your back doing? No fun when that happens, so much you want to do and it just won't let you!
All fine here, just waiting like so many for spring, but it will come it always does.
