Friday!

We are having a beautiful day! It was 48 degrees this morning, so all the windows have been open wide. It is warming up this afternoon, so I've closed up the house and turned on the air to get rid of some of the humidity. I'm looking forward to the days ahead when I won't be turning the air conditioning on at all.


This is a picture of a Great Blue Heron that likes to hang out on the creek at the beginning of our road. We've been trying to get a good picture of one of them for a while. Hubby's effort last week is the best so far, as they are very camera shy.

    Hi Mary - it's supposed to be cooler next week! We're thinking about taking the camper over to Lake Ouachita for a few days. What a great time to camp. :) blessings, marlene

    Hi Rose Mary. The weather has been good in Eureka too, although a little humid in the afternoon, just like yours.

    I'm so surprised at the difference in temps between Eureka and Tulsa this time of year. It is still near 90 every day here at home.

    Dear Rose Mary, what a nice morning. I can hardly wait for such morning but it will be a while yet, here on the coast. We run our ac year round here. That is not all the time, but from time to time when the humity is at its highest we turn it on. We are having much nicer days since hurricane IKE. Hope you continue to have a great Autumn.
