Good Morning

Big waves to all of you out there! Yes, I am still here. Life has a way of getting busy and I let things slip by that I shouldn't--like visiting with all of you.

It was 48 degrees here this morning! I went out for a walk and enjoyed all the cool air. Don't you love fall? This is the coolest morning that we have had this autumn and I'm looking forward to many more of them.

The spiderwebs were so beautiful with the morning dew clinging to them. I took a few pictures, but I guess the light wasn't right to make them show up very well. My purple basil, above, is still looking great, as are all my other basils.

My petunias turned out to be a flop this year. They didn't do well in early summer, due to all the rain and cloudy days. Then, after I cut them back in mid-July, they've bloomed, maybe, two times. I usually have them up to the week before Thanksgiving~so I am missing them this year.

Hope you are all having a great day. I'll be around to 'visit' with you later today.

  1. It sounds like your cooling down. Did you get any rain like Sue did?
Enjoy your fall weather. Ours feels great too.

  2. THERE you are RM, I know what you mean about time flying by, where does it go? Anyway glad to see all is well.

  3. I'm waving back at ya!

Glad to see your post today! Here we are at 2:32pm and have not reached 50 degrees it!

Your basil is very pretty...I may try to grow some herbs of my own some day!

I did have very good luck with my pink petunia's and they are blooming better now than they did all summer...go figure...

    Have a great day!

  4. Glad to have you back, I keep checking in and no Rosemary! Aren't you just loving this weather, it's fall finally!! Enjoy the season friend! Hugs!!

  5. I can't believe your weather there. It is still in the lower 90s here. Very warm. I think being outside some today that I got a suntan. Have a happy autumn. connie from Texas

  6. Our temperatures have really cooled down as well - with rain on and off for the past couple of days. Your basil looks wonderful.

  7. I have never seen the flowers on basil before, they are so pretty. Next time I buy basil I won't use it to cook I will just let it grow.
Thank-you for sharing the picture. It sounds like your walk was beautiful!
Have a blessed day ( we missed you while you were gone)

  8. Glad you are back. Missed you lots :) Ahhh fall. Yes I went to my grandson's soccer game and it was the last game but also the first game that it felt like soccer weather :)

    Take care,

  9. Hi Rose Mary,
The time does go by so, so fast and sometimes it is hard to keep up!
The weather was actually warm here too last week--in the high 80's with warm nights. Kind of unusual for us. It did affect our color change somewhat-still lovely though. It finally cooled down yesterday, enough so that we started our wood stove up.
Keep enjoying and drinking in those Fall walks!

I am waving back at you!! Can you see me?? : )
So glad to see you post!

Your basil is so pretty. I have been thinking about growing some next season.

Have a sweet weekend dear Rosemary!

  11. Glad you're back.

But you know, we all need a little blogging break now and then, I think. :-)
