This is Vacation Bible School week at our church. We don't have as many children this year as we had in the past, but we are really enjoying the time we are having with them.

Today, our lesson was on the importance of putting your trust in Jesus in every situation. Our lesson used many examples to try and stress how allowing Him to be in charge of every situation is the only real answer to solving our problems.

We are having lots of sunshine here today. After all the rain, our grass needs mowing again. It doesn't quite last a week until it is time to get back after it. I'm sure that when July's hot winds and high temperatures set in, the grass will slow down and we can change our mowing schedule to every two weeks.

My Bee Balm has bloomed and it looks so pretty. I will try to post a picture of it in a few days. This is a busy week. Hope all of you are doing well.

  1. I so luv the wonderful caption on the picture.

The grass is the same here too, still good exercise for me.

  2. I always loved VBS when I was a child!

  3. I love watching the kids at VBS, they learn so much. Keep strong, they will need you. Have a great week!

  4. The only good thing about having no rain is that we don't have to mow. We did get a good shower this evening. It felt so good!! Sounded good too.
I bought some beebalm this yr. Hasnt' bloomed yet.

  5. I sure understand about the busyness! Wow! Can't believe you're having VBS already! The kids around here are just getting out of school this week. I'll keep you all in prayer-I've always loved VBS!
I wanted to say hello! as I'm now working on cards for graduation, birthdays and Father's day. Whoo Boy!, I'm trying to visit when I can!
    Blessings to you! Claudia O.

  6. I used to love vacation Bible school when I was young and then later teaching in it. It was always a very fun and time of learning great things. Yes, and it is a very busy time. connie from Texas

  7. I'm glad you are enjoying our VBS. It sounds like fun! Ours is staring up in July. I'm the craft lady. :0)

  8. My daughter went to the neighborhood bible school on our street.

Must be nice to have some rain :(
Some of the cities around me are having a water ban.

    No rain in sight.

    Take care,

  9. What a blessing you are to those children!! Our elementary age students are still in school until next week! My two are in middle school so testing began today!! Our VBS starts in July I believe.
    have a great week!

  10. When my children were growing up, I was always the "craft" teacher during VBS and chaperone for our VBS "picnic/field trips". What a great time I had with the children and oh the adventures!:-)

  11. Hi Rose Mary
Wonderful post. VBS was a favourite part of the summer for me when I was little ... and a time my children always looked forward to when they were younger as well. Enjoy!

  12. I have very fond memories of VBS too. From attending as a young child, to teaching young children when I was a teenager, I loved VBS. Since I became a grownup and started to work as a nurse, I have never had a schedule that would allow me to participate fully in VBS. I hope to enjoy it again one day when I retire.
