Hello friends~I hope you have all had a wonderful Friday. I spent mine in the little town we live nearest to--20 miles northeast of us--and got a bit of grocery shopping done, as well as had a nice visit with my parents. I met my dh on his lunch hour and we went to the park and did a little walking. I was excited to see that the little 'spring beauty' flowers have sprung up all over the ground, as well as some clover. Spring is certainly on its way!I made these dish towels yesterday. I've never made them before, but they were easier than I had thought and I like the idea of 'customizing' the colors to go with my kitchen. Also, I really detest those 'terry' dish towels that they sell at Wal Mart~they just do not dry anything! I think I will be making my own 100% cotton towels from now on.
Everyone have a great weekend!
R~Mary
You did great on those towels and I know how you feel about the ones at Walmart. They are very nice. Keep up the good work. Thanks for visiting my blog. I really enjoy reading all the comments and I too have writers block since I am not all that good at it, Sue was the writer inthe family. Well, Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to meet another Rosemary
I see you separate the two names.
I like your blog.
Visit me sometime,
Rosemary
Your dishtowels turned out really nice Rose Mary! I loved the photo of your sweet cat in the last post :-}
ReplyDeleteI know just the terry cloth WalMart towels you were talking about-- and you're right-- they absorb nothing.
ReplyDeleteYour towels turned out so cute, and if they're as functional as they are cute and cottagey, you're really accomplished something! :)
Hi Rosemary, are you snowed in too? It's still snowing and the sun is coming out now, so odd for March! We got to have a least 5 inches so far. I love those hand towels, did you use a pattern? I've been wanting to make some, do tell how! They are adorable!
ReplyDeleteSo you have been behind in your blogging also :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice visit with your parents. I sure do miss ours.
I hope you are right that spring is on the way. It can't come any sooner for me :)
Take care,
Love,
Terri
