Books and Tea

You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.
~C. S. Lewis~

This has been my motto during this rainy week we've had! A nice cup of Earl Grey and a good history book or even a mystery suits me just fine!

Hope all of you have had a good week and are looking forward to an even better weekend.

  1. Hi Rosemary, I guess you are sending your rain our way. We are expecting rain for the next two days, but that's okay.... I've been wanting to work on some embroidery! I had planned to have a yard sale tomorrow, but I guess it will have to wait until a better weekend. Hope your weekend is great!

  2. I love a good cup of hot tea in the winter and a big glass of iced tea in the summer.

I have a iced tea maker and make up a combination of green tea, white tea, and herbal fruit tea. So refreshing!

  3. I so luv the delightful photo and the quotation of C.S. Lewis - how true.

I see we enjoy the same tea 'Earl Grey' - always wonderful to curl up with on a day, best indoors.

I do hope you have an enjoyable weekend and the weather improves to allow outdoor pursuits.

    Blessings

  4. RM,
Those books look like good ones, are they?
I went to a couple garage sales this morning and to the thrift store. So of course came home with some new stuff. I thought it was a pretty good day.
Great weather, think we will buy and plant a few HOSTAS this weekend, little ones will be here tomorrow, also hope to go to a few more garage sales. I think is it is warm enough for me to sit on the back deck and work on my embroidery while Richard mows the lawn when he gets home.
Do you have a big lawn to mow? How are your puddy cats?

  5. I certainly wish I could enjoy tea, like so many people do. -sigh- No matter how many times I try... it is never really satisfying to me.

And as of some years ago, I can't even have real coffee anymore. So I am stuck with decaf, when I want a cup of warm.

Be extra happy, the next time you enjoy a lovely cup of tea. Not all of can.

I had to laugh at the comment too!!

I think there are a some who play the bagpipes in the streets of Edinburgh - who appear to be relatives of that gentleman - only able to play one tune too!!
