The most fun thing we did was adopt a new pet! Her name is Jackie. She a one year old German Shepherd/Collie/? mix. Jackie spent half of her life at the shelter, so she is a little shy and is trying hard to adjust to being out in the 'real world'.
We've had our share of strays, but she is the first dog we've adopted from a shelter. We are looking forward to a lot of fun years with her.
I hope all of you are having a wonderful week!
R~Mary
Good for you for adopting this wonderful dog. You'll see lots of dogs like that (the ones we've adopted) and good puppy ideas from our blogspot. I think you've done a wonderful thing in rescuing this one and you'll get lots of joy from it. http://thelittledogshelterintheholler.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you didnt' get any of that nasty weather! Love the new look here! And please join Facebook, it's alot of fun and much better than Myspace. Enjoy the new doggie, you saved him, bless your heart!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look too! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Jackie is definitely a keeper! What an expressive face she has. :) She was one very lucky fur baby to get adopted by y'all.

Jackie looks like a great dog. I've known folks who have had collie/shepherd mix dogs and they were wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHalf her life at the shelter~ she will treasure her life with you...
ReplyDeleteShe is just beau-ti-ful.
She looks sweet, you will have some fun with her. Give her a big hug from all of us. Keep Warm.
ReplyDeleteGood for you and good for Jackie! I hope everything works out great for y'all. Rescued shelter dogs sometimes need help to remember what being a happy dog is all about. If there is EVER any problem or dog thing that we (Mrs. JP and I) can help you with, please don't hesitate to post a comment at our blog. If we don't have an answer, we will find the right one.
ReplyDeleteGod bless!
Your dog is so sweet looking. I'm sure she will love her new home.
