It is cold outside. Lower 20s and dropping. I went to Wal Mart to pick up a few craft supplies and all the buzz going on in there was of the possible coming snow. It had arrived by the time I checked out. I'm not used to driving in this type of weather and it was fascinating to watch the way the snow blew like dust across the road, the wind whipping it this way and that. We usually get ice, not snow. By the time I got home our dirt road was completely covered with a white chalky film--an improvement over the red clay dirt!
This picture is looking towards the woods behind our house. There were quite a few birds and several woodpeckers in the yard when I went out, but they all managed to get away before I could get a shot of them. Hope all of you are having a nice day.
Stay warm, have fun with whatever your doing, and drink plenty of hot chocolate!

Stay in and keep warm. You guys are really getting it. I hope the weather warms up soon for you all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! Drive safe in that stuff! You wouldn't believe what is normal for us to drive in up here in NY! They don't close down for anything anymore!

It is cold here in Dayton also. Heard it will get colder this weekend. Although it was not as bad today. Still only 18 at times-but the wind was not blowing as it had been before.
ReplyDeleteStay warm. I plan on it :)
Take care,
Terri
Just wanted to stop by and say Hi! It's very cold and snowy here too! Just heard that we have another Lake affect snow watch.
ReplyDeleteWish I could have seen your picture but for some reason it would not show up this morning. Have a great day and keep warm :o)
(I love that red dirt!)
We only got a inch over here, enough for me, as long as it's not ice! The sun is out today and makes a big difference! Stay warm!
