Never has the world had a greater need for love than in our day. People are hungry for love. We don't have time to stop and smile at each other. We are all in such a hurry! Pray. Ask for the necessary grace. Pray to be able to understand how much Jesus loves us, so that you can love others.
Mother Teresa
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
St. John 15:12
This little wall plaque, now old and scuffed, was a wedding present to us nearly 25 years ago. It has always hung over our kitchen door, being the last thing people saw when they left our home. The space over the kitchen door is too small in our little cabin, so I keep it in different spots around the house--always a sweet reminder of the truth of God's love.
Have a wonderful Sunday,
RMary
What a sweet way to begin my day...

Happy sunny Sunday to you too!! I love that sign and the fact that it's the last thing your guests see when leaving your cabin, what a sweet gift!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for saying that I have sweet and soul warming pictures in my blog. That is exactly what I aim for.
ReplyDeleteI found the blogs in "my Pretty Blog Land," as a refuge from the woes of the world. I'd like to give a wee bit of that refuge, to others too.

RoseMary,
ReplyDeleteThose are very comforting words! I'm so thankful He does love me.
Thanks for visiting with me and for the sweet comment. It was sorta like Mayberry growing up. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to have the childhood I had.....
It is wonderful that you chose to remind us of the importance of being obedient to God's Word in that the Lord Jesus set the model by His perfect obedience to the Father. Makes me also think of the next verse, John 15:13- May we never forget the supreme evidence and expression of Jesus love-His sacrificial death upon the cross. Thanks RoseMary, love your sign!
